Angie writes clear, concise, engaging texts and copy. She has a PhD in English (University of Adelaide), a book, Oscar Wilde as a Character in Victorian Fiction (Palgrave Macmillan, New York) and has published internationally, including newspaper articles, academic articles and reviews. Her work has won various awards such as the Arts SA Independent Makers and Presenters Project Grant, the Copyright Agency Creative Industries Career Fund Grant, the Varuna Writing Retreat Fellowship and the Penguin Varuna Scholarship, and she’s been shortlisted for the Impress (novel) Prize (UK). She’s also an experienced copywriter.

How to Develop a Story workshop

Angie has been facilitating writing workshops for adults and young people since 2013. Her courses draw on her years of experience studying English (PhD), publishing non-fiction (Oscar Wilde as a Character in Victorian Fiction, articles and reviews), writing fiction (Arts SA Project Grant, Varuna Writing Retreat Fellowship, Penguin Varuna Scholarship), studying teaching (BEd, Grad Cert in Gifted Ed) and teaching writing (St Andrew’s School, Wilderness School, Adelaide High School, Ocean View College, Writers SA, University of Tasmania, TasWriters). Teaching and inspiring people to write are her greatest passions.

Angie offers engaging writing workshops in:

She has a clear, accessible tutoring style and is experienced in supporting students across all ages and levels to improve their academic and creative writing. She loves sharing her passion for writing and helping others develop their writing skills and confidence; outcomes which empower people and improve lives.

She has served on the editorial boards of two academic journals (The Oscholars and The Wildean) and has edited fiction and non-fiction.
